I Want You To Hurt Like I Do - Randy Newman - solo piano cover

Randy Newman is one of my favorite singer-songwriter/pianists. No one does satire better than him. I've been dealing with some back issue lately. I thought the title of this song was fitting for a new blog post.

Newman said this song was a satiric follow-up to We Are The World. To me, the lyrics are extremely dark and represent the lowest of the low in human nature. Hope you enjoy this living room performance with recoded with my iphone fisheye:

Music is a huge part of my blog. I'm interested in and play everything from jazz to alt-country, no depression type music. Right now I'm working mostly with acoustic instruments and singer/songwriter type sessions. We are trying to create a very natural, organic and independent music/sound that is true to multiple styles of music. You'll hear many of the instruments that have defined what has quickly become a national treasure: roots based, americana, alt-country music.

Apple Hill Studios is a small, warm room full of vintage pianos, guitars, drums, banjos, B3 and a Leslie speaker. My vision for this room is nothing more than to have a friendly and inviting atmosphere that inspires true music.

It's great to see people take a love for music and turn it into a passion for playing. Beginning to advanced lessons are available in piano, guitar and organ. Learn in a comfortable studio setting.
