Caged Rats: Newport KY
Months of sweltering in the summer heat turns the caged rat to a state of manic and compulsive behavior. Excessive exercise such as this releases stored energy and creates a sense of calm within the pack. What appears to the eye as depravity is in fact one of the rats' keys to survival:
